You have voluntarily entered into this contract and will return the rented materials to Shakespeare & Co. Booksellers.

You will pay for the items specified at the time of the order.

If you fail to return the rented items by the return date or return them in an unsaleable condition, you authorize Shakespeare & Co. Booksellers to charge the credit card or debit card used for the initial transaction, an additional Non-Return Fee of 75% of the retail price of the book plus a processing fee of 10% of the retail price of the book. Even though we will send you an e-mail reminder before the items are due, we are not responsible for doing so.

A book is considered saleable if there is no physical damage to the book and all the component parts of the book are present. Shakespeare & Co. is the sole authority determining the condition of the book or books. Highlighting and writing are permitted as long it does not render the book unreadable. If the rented materials are stolen, you are solely responsible.

You are using your credit card as security. You will not cancel the card until the rented items are returned or the Non-Return Fees are paid. If the card is canceled for any reason whether by the cardholder or the issuing bank, the Non-Return Fees are due and payable immediately unless a replacement card is presented at the store.

Rented items are governed by standard textbook refund policy of Shakespeare & Co. Booksellers.
